Would highly recommend, to everyone!

Beautiful hotel, in the heart of Camara de Lobos. There were so many lovely restaurants right on our doorstep. You are also a stones throw from the sea which was amazing. The staff at the hotel are excellent, so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a couple of chilled evenings at the hotel as its such a lovely building, with a great pool table.

No complaints.

Exceptional

A very cozy hotel, with many small cozy spaces for relaxation. We lived in a room in the hotel tower. It's a great feeling to see views to all four sides of the city.

There are no minuses, except that the hotel does not have its own parking. But there is a city parking nearby, which can be used for 4.5€ per day.

Super nice staff, great service, great breakfast (even got a take away when we left early to watch sunrise) great location with super nice restaurants around (can recommend the one directly on the opposite side of the hotel entrance)

we had a smart tv but it was not possible to watch Netflix or any other streaming platform. Bathroom was smelling weird on last day.

superb hotel in idyllic surroundings

Location was spectacular. The little village has everything you need and fantastic restaurants all set on the most beautiful location. The hotel is a gem. Beautiful pockets of outside space inside for resting and relaxing. Superb. Breakfast is perfect.

The room we had overlooked a back lane so we couldn't use the balcony or open the curtains. It was also quite noisy due to the street.

Hotel was amazing. We booked it for couple days, and the location was great, staff was very friendly, polite and professional, and also the rooms were very nice, quiet and cozy. Breakfast was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. Also, grocery shop is located nearby, so you can buy some food and other important things there.

There is no hotel parking available, so you have to use publicly available parking spot. It's quite close to the hotel, But: there are some locals (who look homeless) which are trying to help you by providing guidance to park, and then will ask you for money. If you don't pay, they might scratch your car. So beware! It's a public parking spot, so you pay either via app or parking machine, not to locals! My suggestion, same as the hotel would give you, is to park inside the parking house in the end of the street. (you can pay there with cash, which will be much cheaper than via the hotel reception).

overall the stay was really lovely, we both enjoyed our time a lot and there was plenty to do over the island.

staff were very welcoming and lovely, the room was really nice and cleaned everyday.

the area was a little bit difficult and was a little bit out of the way but there were regular buses and easy access to taxi or other transportation. due to the location being in a fisherman village, pretty much all restaurants only sold fish which was a little disappointing, so we had to travel a bit to eat elsewhere.

Lovely hotel - an excellent Pestana (like all I tried so far)

Design, decorations, staff, breakfast. A special plus to the breakfast inner yard - very nice. Nice little village - Câmara de Lobos. Special excellent mention about restaurant Churchill’s place overlooking the bay area.

N/A - perhaps the smell of burned old cooking oil from the restaurants outside, felt in the street until the hotel entry. I also prefer carpet in rooms (and not parquet) - but this is personal taste

A pleasant stay in Camara do Lobos!

Breakfast was delicious! Good variety, abundant, very good quality. Staff was super nice and helpful. We were treated for our long stay and my birthday with wine and pasteis de nata! The pool has also a nice view on the bay. The room was a bit small but very comfortable.

The only little complaint I have was the bathroom door, a bit of a cheap sliding door, not sliding very well. Some more storage space would also be appreciated.

Lovely peaceful stay, with plenty of life outside and a great location for exploring Madeira.

The hotel was peaceful and quiet, even though there was plenty of life outside with various restaurants and bars. The pool space on the roof was perfect for catching some sun - the pool was a bit chilly and caused a sharp intake of breath when getting in, but that’s only to be expected at this time of year! The staff were all super helpful, including the cleaning staff who took care of us and kept us stocked up with room essentials during our stay.

Not much to be fair, and nothing that would stop us from staying again. Depending on what you’re looking for, the vicinity could be a little quiet in terms of things to do, but we arranged a few trips around the island and also travelled into Funchal a few times for a change of scenery. That’s not really a negative about the hotel, which was located in a perfect place in Camara de lobos. It would be good to have some covers over the breakfast items as there were flies around, but that’s very minor in the big scheme of things.

Great hotel with small downsides

Ambiente of the whole hotel is great, it really classifies as a boutique hotel, pool has a nice view and is clean and Billard can be played for free. Staff was very nice, in general would recommend going there

Breakfast is fine, sometimes it misses a bit the detail (no knife for the cake, only hardboiled eggs..), coffee was really a disappointment, after trying twice I avoided it for the rest of the stay. Hotel has no parking but offers collaboration with 2 local sites, but 7,50€ per day instead of 4,50€ if you pay per day directly at the parkinggarage is way to expensive in my eyes (however as a plus they tell you both prices). On the weekend music can get really loud, however in our case this was only 1/9 nights, so okay

Lovely hotel, lovely staff.

Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was excellent, including catering for my husband's gluten free needs. Nice swimming pool, great location.

Everything about the hotel and its staff was spot on. The only downer was the car parking. It was an unexpected additional cost in a public area that we weren't made aware of until the last minute. It was also occupied by persitant beggers demanding money for showing you an available space in the car park. Not required, and a little intimidating.

Nice hotel in good location in Camara de Lobos

Nicely decorated hotel, well located in the pedestrian zone close to the harbor and to couple of good restaurants. Breakfast was very good. Our room was of good size, no balcony, small fridge, air con, TV, comfy bed, nice shower. Friendly and attentive staff.

Pool area (on the third floor) could be bigger, considering the number of rooms. Wading pool had 4 sunbeds in it, but once you sit or lay down on them, you got a cold wet back which did not feel nice.
